Watts the Problem! Cat in a Hot Tin Suit

"Vogue's Gallery" is the 16th of 35 Darkwing Duck comic stories published in the Disney Adventures magazine.

Summary

A strange new crime wave has hit St. Canard. All the supervillains are running amok throughout the city... but the villains themselves are nowhere in sight. Rather, it's their clothes that are causing the calamity. Darkwing Duck and Launchpad, utterly befuddled by these rogue rags, attempt to fight them but find that these outfits are harder than the time Gosalyn tried to do laundry. This gives Darkwing an idea as he runs to the laundromat and comes out with fabric softener, which renders the killer clothing powerless and limp in a single spray.

After dealing with most of the costumes, Darkwing and Launchpad finally corner and capture the mastermind behind the mayhem as he's trying to rob a bank. The man explains that he is the one who designed all the costumes for St. Canard's supervillains, but their continued refusal to pay him for his work drove him to find a new line of profit. To this end, he created a super-starch that allowed him to bring his costumes to life and use them as his own army of minions, then sent them to attack and distract St. Canard while he robs the city.

As the furious fashionista is taken to prison, Darkwing confiscates the super-starch with the intent to find a nice and clean use for it. He sprays it on his spare costumes and has them do his chores while he takes a nap.
