Much like Darkwing Duck relies on his gas gun in battles that require him to be closely involved, Negaduck has a thing for chainsaws. There is no one chainsaw like there is one — or one model — gas gun, but Negaduck does pick them to color coordinate with his outfit. Sometimes, he wields multiple chainsaws at once or uses chainsaws with multiple blades to them.
While Negaduck is talented or trained to use a large variety of close combat weapons, chainsaws are his evident favorite to use. They're effective against a large variety of targets and the results are gruesome. Over time, Negaduck has wielded two kinds: a yellow bulkier one and a red thinner one. The red version is used most often.
When Negaduck gets interrupted torturing the Justice Ducks to death by his minions arguing over how St. Canard should be run, Negaduck gets out a yellow chainsaw. Benefit #1 is that they go quiet, benefit #2 is that he gets to slice up the maquette of St. Canard they have into four equal parts. He gives a part to each of his minions in return for the loot and just raises the chainsaw again when they protest. Darkwing Duck drops by shortly after and gets captured. Negaduck prepares to slice him up, but even from her bound position Morgana can change the chainsaw into a yak to save Darkwing. Thinking that Darkwing and his team are done for, Negaduck declares party time. His first act is to get a red chainsaw and mow down a utility pole, which crashes on a parked car.
Boom! Studios comics
Negaduck has two red chainsaws stored at his hideout in an abandoned part of the St. Canard Subway. They mostly see use to get access to the locked off areas of the subway in various dimensions until Darkwing Duck, Morgana Macawber, and Gosmoduck break in. Morgana and Gosmoduck pick their own opponents, leaving Darkwing to deal with Negaduck in a gas gun vs. chainsaw fight. Negaduck even goes so far as to handle two chainsaws at once at one point. During the ink crisis, Negaduck uses the ink to change his right hand into a chainsaw.
